Our first-ever Dads-n-Donuts was a great success! In fact, it was such a success that we ran out of donuts!
Mark your calendar for the next event, Friday, December 11 at 7:30 am, and we will be prepared with more donuts!

 

2015-16 T-Shirt Orders

A big THANKS to East Sandy Elementary's Camden Lampshire, who was the winner of this year's T-shirt design contest! Students voted on several awesome entries, and this is the winning design.

Shirts will be white with this design on the front.

Options for shirt styles are as follows:

• Regular T-shirt (short-sleeved)
• Fitted Girls' T-shirt (short-sleeved)
• Hooded Sweatshirt

All shirts are pre-shrunk.

Ordering instructions:

1. Print the order form (below)
2. Complete the form with your child's name and teacher name, sizes, amounts and total amount due
3. Enclose completed form and check in an envelope marked "PTA"
4. Send to school with your child or return to the office
5. Orders are due by Friday, September 25th.

2015-16 PTA Budget

The PTA would like to thank McDonough Orthodontics for being great supporters of our Annual Mustang Stampede! They provided awesome water bottles for all of our students this year. We thank them for their continued support of our school and community!

2015 Fundraiser

The 2015 fundraiser is here. As in past years, we are combining all of our fundraising efforts into ONE NO-FUSS Fundraiser.  We are asking for your support to raise funds that will support the amazing programs at our school! This year our goal is to raise $10,000, which includes $6,500 to sustain our PTA-sponsored programs (field trips, red ribbon week, Halloween/Valentine's parties, birthday wagon, field day, mustang stampede/fun run, reflections, NOVA, popcorn spirit days and more), and $3,500 for the school to continue the Mighty Mustangs weekly rewards and incentives for our students throughout the year. If each child can collect donations of $25 or more, then we WILL reach our goal! Asking for simple donations allows us to retain 100% of the proceeds.

Utah teachers, parents and students have waited six years for an improved economy that might drive additional funding to support our public schools.  It is TIME to devote significant funding to Utah's public schools! Support a 6.25% increase to the Weighted Pupil Unit (WPU) as supported by the Governor.

Month of Service

Thank you to all students, parents and families who participated in any way in our 2nd Annual Month of Service.  Together, we made a BIG difference!

• 11 English-Swahili ABC books created for students at Africa Schoolhouse in Tanzania
• 15 fleece blankets cut and tied for patients at Primary Children's Medical Center
• 100+ letters written to American Soldiers delivered through Operation Gratitude
• 80+ greeting cards written to recipients of Meals on Wheels
• 350+ place mats made for recipients of Meals on Wheels
• 2535+ food items collected for the Utah Food Bank
• 6+ large bags full of stuffed animals collected for Project Teddy Bear supporting at-risk children
• Winter clothing items collected benefiting 25+ East Sandy students/families, with 7 large bags full delivered downtown to refugees from central Africa, Iran and Iraq
